• Usage Data & Analytics: We utilize Firebase Analytics to collect information about how users interact with our platform (e.g., page views, theme toggles, and button clicks) to optimize performance.
• Security Data: We use Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent spam and abuse. This service checks if you are a human and may collect hardware and software information, such as device and application data.

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

• To provide, operate, and maintain our website layout and user dashboard.
• To link your shared posts to your unique profile safely via secure backend transactions.
• To understand and analyze how you use our platform for future feature rollouts.

3. Third-Party Integrations and Advertisements

Hidden Note integrates trusted third-party services that have their own privacy practices:

• Google Firebase: Used for identity authentication, hosting infrastructure, and cloud database management (Firestore).
• Google AdSense: We display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
• Google reCAPTCHA v3: Implemented to verify authentic human interaction and secure forms against automation.

4. Visibility of Content

Shared Posts: Any note you create generates a unique public URL path (/share/username/postNum) that is visible to anyone who accesses the link.

Replies: When replying to a note, you can toggle between "Share with everyone" (Public) or "Share with the post author only" (Private). Public replies are visible to anyone visiting that link, while private replies are restricted only to the post author.

5. Your Data Rights

You can choose to log out of our system at any time or stop using the application. If you wish to request the deletion of your account metadata or your associated database entries, please contact us at your support email address.
